Basic Concept

Environment

Considering environmental conservation as a major issue in modern society, each and every employee will be aware of his/her responsibility of conserving energy, reducing CO2 emissions, and reducing waste. In addition, we will aim to achieve harmony with the global environment and a prosperous society by actively promoting environmental load reduction activities with the participation of all employees and improving the environment for the next generation across the entire company through our business activities.


Social

Recognizing our public nature as a medical and health-related company and our mission as social infrastructure, we place top priority on the stable supply of pharmaceuticals, etc. in order to maintain our system providing health care even in an emergency. We also believe that it is important that our workplace should be the one where each and every employee is able to work in good health and with pride and fulfillment and, as such, we are working on work-style reforms to achieve a work-life balance.


Governance

We consider the enhancement of the corporate governance system as one of our important issues. We have strengthened corporate governance through the promotion of compliance and risk management and have built a transparent corporate governance system by enhancing and strengthening the management oversight function by the Board of Directors and the audit function by the Audit and Supervisory Committee. In addition, as an advisory committee to the Board of Directors, the voluntary Nomination and Compensation Committee has been established to increase the transparency and objectivity of decision-making concerning the nomination and compensation of officers. We will fulfill our social responsibilities as a company and realize improvements in our corporate value through sustainable growth.
